About Project

The business reached out to us, seeking an upgrade of their Shopify theme to the latest version and enhancements in their website’s user experience. This included tasks like arranging product filters with tags, developing an attractive mega menu featuring a section for recommended products, and refining the layout of product descriptions. Moreover, they needed the integration of bespoke features vital for marketing and various functions, such as unique product labels, blogs filterable by subject, sections with suggested products that can be customized, and bundle products.
Furthermore, the client requested the integration of more payment methods via Affirm, to display the Afterpay widget and the setup and customisation of additional applications, such as apps for SEO and image optimization, integration with TikTok and Instagram and others.

Results

As a result of our work on the client’s website, we managed to realize everything we had in mind and achieve great results. We started by updating the Shopify theme to version 2.0. Then we started implementing custom features for the site.

We did:

  • Made a custom mega menu with recommended products
  • Made custom filters by tags
  • Created a short description of the product with its advantages on the product page
  • Connected and configured the Affirm and Afterpay payment systems
  • Connected and configured the VideoWise application to display videos from TikTok on the product page
  • Made a custom block of recommended products through Metafields
  • Improved custom code functionality for product bundles. Now client can assemble a set of different products by seeing their image and description.
  • Using new UX/UI design mockups and custom code, we made an incredibly attractive blog page.
  • We created a custom mini-cart. It has a scale showing how many products are needed for free delivery, it changes depending on what country you are from and has two recommended products and payment system widgets.
  • Payment systems were set up
  • To improve the SEO performance on the website, we worked on optimizing the images on the website using the application.
  • Speed optimization for the site was carried out. As a result, the speed indicators were improved by more than 50 points
